A responsible handling of resources is a key element in Tchibo’s sustainable mindset.
Tchibo is working on material cycles that better protect global resources and enable sustainable consumption – because Tchibo's responsibility for people and nature goes beyond buying products and selling to customers. Products that the consumer has finished using contain valuable materials that can be re-used for new products. Where possible, products and material cycles must therefore be designed from the outset in such a way that the recyclable materials they contain are used for a long time, and are ideally reused at an equivalent level after the end of the product’s life.
Tchibo reaffirmed this aspiration by signing the Greenpeace Detox Commitment in 2014.
