Sales may not be for everyone – but it happens to be perfect for you! You are open-minded and communicative, enjoy working with people and achieving personal success – and have excellent powers of persuasion. We created our entry-level programmes in Sales just for people like you.

You have the choice between preparing for a position of responsibility in Depot sales (with our shop-in-shop systems in supermarkets) or in Filiale (Tchibo Shop) sales. What do the two have in common? In both programmes, you will experience the great diversity of Tchibo and rapidly develop into a sales all-rounder, shaping tomorrow´s markets.

Junior Sales Manager

We give you intensive training on and off the job to prepare you for your future career. After all, you will be managing your own sales territory during your very first year on the sales force. You will service approx. 70 retail partners, and will be in charge of the implementation of sales promotions and sales-boosting measures. Then it's off to the back office for six months each in Key Account Management and Retail Marketing, to get to know our processes and build a network – and contribute your own know-how to sales projects. You will do this by availing yourself of our range of seminars, individually tailored to you and your sales practice. Regular feedback sessions and your mentor in management, who will accompany your career and professional development, will also help you move forward.

Junior Retail Manager

Now that’s what we call an education with a system! Following a two-month training period, during which you are introduced to the challenges in our Tchibo Shops, you take on more and more responsibility: first as the head of a small Filiale for four months, then for six months as manager of a medium to large Tchibo shop. After you then spend a month familiarising yourself with the processes at our Head Office, you are ready for your first position as district manager, in which you gradually take on the supervision of more and more Shops. In this way, your growing on-the-job experience and the assistance of a mentor result in a steep learning curve.

Whether you choose the Junior Sales Manager or Junior Retail Manager programme: two years jam-packed with experience await you, after which you will be very well equipped to handle your leadership tasks anywhere in Germany.

Prerequisites for your future as a sales executive:

  • A business-related university degree with an emphasis on sales, retail or marketing

  • Some sales experience through internships or from work in the retail sector

  • A capacity for leadership, and the ability to deal well with different people and motivate them

  • Excellent communication skills, decision-making skills and a confident manner

  • Team spirit, ambition, and like to work independently

  • A willingness to relocate within Germany in the medium term
