We will teach you everything you need to have a perfect grasp of technology. With your training you will soon be able to quickly and reliably troubleshoot any problem with our equipment and machinery.
Is it a mechanical problem, or the hydraulics or pneumatics? You will quickly identify it and replace the defective parts. But that's not all: you also start up, service and maintain all of our control systems. This includes testing hardware and software components.
By the end of your training you will be a sought-after technology all-rounder whose knowledge and skills regarding all aspects of electronics and mechanics are highly regarded in our team.
Course starts: Every year on 1 September (Berlin and Gallin) and on 1 August (Hamburg)
Duration: 3.5 years
Application deadline: End of March that year
Your profile: You have left school with good GCSEs (have completed Year 10), especially in science, and really enjoy working with modern technology and electronics. You are open, approachable and enjoy working in a team. Previous internship experience in a technical environment is an advantage.

Vocational school: In addition to your on-the-job training you will attend the Oberstufenzentrum TIEM college in Berlin or the Vocational School for Technology in Schwerin (Gallin) on block release or the Vocational School Farmsen (Hamburg).
Seminars: In Berlin your training will be carried out in conjunction with the ABB Training Center GmbH & Co. KG where you will spend your entire first year’s practical experience time acquiring basic electronics and mechanics knowledge and skills. In your later years of training, you will keep returning to the training centre for specialist seminars such as English courses.
In Gallin, you will take a first aid course during your training and attend fascinating specialist seminars at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Education Centre in Schwerin.
In Hamburg your training will be carried out in conjunction with a partner company where you will spend your entire first year’s practical experience time acquiring basic electronics and mechanics knowledge and skills. In your later years of training, you will keep returning to the training centre for specialist seminars such as English courses.
