What we are committed to

Tchibo is diversity. Here are a few figures: Employees from 80 countries work at the company and in the shops. 75% of all employees are female. Four generations work together under one roof. 45% are over 50 years old. Almost 7% are severely disabled or of equal status.

The WE wins - our corporate principles contain everything we need to make Tchibo successful. Treating each other with respect and fairness is therefore one of our most important principles for successful cooperation. When different people come together, great discussions and great ideas arise, which we need, especially in these fast-moving and uncertain times. When managers create an appreciative atmosphere in their teams, the greatest possible creativity and innovative strength can unfold - precisely because of all the differences.

At Tchibo, everyone should have the same opportunities for development - regardless of their individual backgrounds. For us, diversity is not a project, but a process that allows us to grow and develop. Putting ourselves in people's shoes, listening and putting aside our own prejudices makes each of us a "better person".

BEans United - The Diversity Team

The Tchibo Diversity Team, BEans United, is a colourful group made up of employees from a wide range of departments and levels. Their aim is to bring diversity of all kinds into the company with campaigns, to inform employees and managers, to openly address optimisation potential, to create spaces for reflection and networking and to be allies who listen and give a voice. The seven diversity dimensions are equally important.

Equal opportunities for all genders

We look after our employees and treat everyone equally. That's what our company principles say. In plain language, this means that everyone has the same opportunities for a position or career. And it's not just women who benefit from equality, but all genders: anyone who wants to work part-time can do so. Anyone who has personal challenges is welcome to address them. And both parents can take parental leave without any problems. Of course, we also look for a fair gender balance when recruiting. Because only if all genders are equally important to us will we have achieved our daily goal: equal opportunities for all.

Perspectives from diverse nations and cultures reach new target groups.

At Tchibo, everyone can be who they are. Treating people of international origin and different cultural backgrounds with respect is a matter of course. Language and cultural skills are the key to new markets and contribute to success in our globalised world. This makes it easier to address new target groups and attract international specialists. An open culture in which there is a mutual understanding of differences and similarities is the basis for good cooperation between people of different international origins and different cultural backgrounds.
