Reportings & Key Figures

Disclaimer

The topic of sustainability is gaining increasing social importance and attention. Legal requirements are becoming more demanding, requiring entire industries to change course. This benefits people and the environment along our supply chains. The significantly improved transparency also brings many advantages for consumers.

To support this transparency with comparable reporting standards, legislators are calling for new reporting formats. For example:

  • The report on the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (from April 2024)
  • Publication of statements on deforestation-free products and supply chains (Deforestation Regulation from 2025)
  • Reporting of CO2 emissions from energy-intensive products manufactured outside the EU (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism Regulation from 2024)
  • Corporate sustainability reporting as part of the annual report (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive from 2026)

Properly implementing the new reporting requirements will require significant additional effort and major changes to our current reporting practices, especially during the implementation phase.

To meet current and future information needs without crippling our impact work, we have decided on the following approach:

  • We will combine the sustainability reports for 2022 and 2023 into a single, comprehensive two-year report.
  • For 2024, we will publish only a focused sustainability report.
  • Starting in 2026, we will publish a revised sustainability report for 2025 (in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive).

To ensure that there are no gaps in content during the transition phase, we will also provide regular updates on our website about all important innovations and changes related to sustainability.
