Since 2020, Tchibo has had a space where coffee is not just a beverage, but also a conversation. “5 Tassen täglich” is the podcast about coffee, consumption, sustainability, products and the people behind them. Our host, Ralf Podszus, meets up with inspiring guests for a coffee every other Monday.

The recordings usually take place at the Tchibo coffee bar or in the guest’s kitchen. Our Qbo or the fully automatic machine are always on hand, unless, of course, our barista Indre Berendes is conjuring up delicious coffee creations for us. In “5 Tassen täglich”, we chat with inspiring personalities about sustainable lifestyles, the best coffee recipes, circular economy, art, sweet lupin coffee, the EcoBeautyScore and the role of coffee in show business. And very importantly: we consume “5 Cups a Day” per episode. As an espresso macchiato, cold brew, filter coffee or soya latte. It doesn’t matter. The main thing is the caffeine, because it opens the mind and loosens the tongue.

In six years, “5 Tassen täglich” has already featured 146 episodes and numerous guests, including Daniel de Juan de los Santos (WIR SIND ROBIN HOOD), Gerhard Bytof, Cevin Parker, Dr Hajo Schumacher, Yared Dibaba, Janine Steeger (“Green Janine”), Arved Fuchs, Katja Eichinger, Tristan Horx, Anastasia Zampounidis, Benjamin Adrion (Viva con Agua), Bibiana Steinhaus-Webb, Johannes Strate (Revolverheld), Andrea Gerhard, Andre Illmer (Swapfiets), Alexander Kaiser (like2drive), Thomas Brudermann (“Die Kunst der Ausrede”), Julia-Maria Blesin, Nova Meierhenrich and Ricardo M., alias Hendrik Menken.

In addition, there are countless Tchibo colleagues who share insights into their day-to-day work: from coffee sourcing to product development, sustainability, the circular economy, textiles and packaging, right through to new business models. Our podcast has also won an award: in 2020, we won first prize for best sustainability communication at the German Online Communication Awards.

You can find ‘5 Tassen täglich’ on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Podcast Addict, RTL+, Deezer, CastBox, AntennaPod, Podbean, TuneIn, Podimo, Podcast Republic, Amazon Music, Radio.net, CastMix, Audible, BeyondPod and also via Victor Reader Stream 3 which is a portable digital audio player with a tactile user interface, designed specifically for blind and visually impaired users.
